| HOME EQUITY PLANS |
|
 UCCU offers two home equity options, open-end and closed-end.
- Open-End: A line-of-credit is established allowing you to take periodic advances when you want to. You are allowed to take advances of at least $1,000 up to your credit line. Credit lines can be established up to 80% of your home's value, less any outstanding mortgage. The rate is variable and set at 1/2% below prime. Repayment terms are flexible.
- Closed-End: This is a traditional 2nd mortgage type loan in that you receive one advance for a term up to 180 months with no subsequent advances provided. This plan is set up with a fixed-rate so your payments are always level. You can finance up to 80% of your home's value, less any outstanding mortgage. UCCU also offers financing up to 100% of your home's value if mortgage insurance is included.
